Threads of Fate is my second Puzzletale game. This game is an absolute beast of a puzzle game (in the best way possible). The game is split into four chapters, each taking 2-3 hours long. It took me roughly 11 hours to finish the entire game. Each chapter's puzzles builds on top of each other, and the overarching narrative tie it all together into a single cohesive game. The puzzles themselves are challenging, but not overwhelmingly so. I solved most of the puzzles without any hints. However, they were not easy solutions; many of them were multiple parts or took a while until it clicked. When I did need some help, the hint system online was bland but it did its job. Although this game has some online components, I thought that they fit well with the narrative. The puzzles delivered by the online medium were not unique, but not bad either. Lastly, the physical components were amazing quality. Even the paper was of high quality and varied material. The included reset pack makes it easily giftable/sellable, and all of it can be printed yourself with the free PDFs provided online by Postcurious.

Great company with a great track record - love the little touches like the documents, wooden bx and whatever other surprises they share.

Finally got a chance to play Threads of Fate by PostCurious!!! I missed out on the original version, The Tale of Ord, back in 2017 and have been looking forward to getting my hands on the game ever since I learned of it. The remastered version of the game just came out and, suffice it to say, it did not disappoint. The story is very engaging and the puzzles are all wonderfully fun and beautifully configured. I find PostCurious games to be the perfect blend of creativity and difficulty; I am usually able to figure the puzzles out, given enough thinking time, but don't mind using a hint here or there when needed. The beauty and quality of the components always has me coming back for more from PostCurious and Threads of Fate is no exception. I am excited to add this game to my collection and can't wait to see what Rita Orlov comes out with next!
