Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.

Ambitious idea with dreadful rules that weigh the game down to the point where I never want to play it again. Not enough risk in most games, meaning you don't really feel that much urgency to finish the game, most zones are interesting exactly once. A real shame, even though my friends and I did get some joy out of it.

Played a four person demo at Gen Con 2018. Was a nice adult update to the Stuffed Fables system. Decisions seemed to matter and the story elements that we encountered were interesting and made me want to continue playing past the initial demo time.

Weird game of dice allocation and narration... but by the end, the tension ramped up and it was down to the wire--and won me over. I won by defeating a supervillain with a skateboarding childhood friend and an Indian princess... or something like that.
