While we do intend to finish this sooner or later, it speaks volumes about our experience with this game that after the first two chapters, my girlfriend and I have had this sitting aside unplayed for several months. If this turns into a series, I wouldn't likely pick up another, though I also really hope for their sake that they figure out a better solution for the box.

Let's be honest here, you kept your finger on the pages when reading a CYOA book. It was okay to do that with a book, but for some reason I found it too much cheating in an actual tabletop game. Also the game has no replay value once you've gone through it.

Played through as a narrative experience rather than trying to "beat" it. Enjoyed it, story was fun, the psychic track and Sanger level adds some randomness to proceedings. Didn't find there to be much challenge, if you die yiu just go back. But if played as a one shot story it's a nice way to pass a few hours. I played with one of my kids and it went down well.
