Tile Placement games feature placing a piece to score VPs, with the amount often based on adjacent pieces or pieces in the same group/cluster, and keying off non-spatial properties like color, "feature completion", cluster size etc.
Tile Placement
Variable Player Powers is a mechanic that grants different abilities and/or paths to victory to the players.
Variable Player Powers
This mechanism requires players to select individual actions from a set of actions available to all players. Players generally select actions one-at-a-time and in turn order. There is usually(*) a limit on the number of times a single action may be taken. Actions are commonly selected by the placement of game pieces or tokens on the selected actions. Each player usually has a limited number of pieces with which to participate in the process.

Worker placement game with some interesting mechanics. First off, the game is entertaining and has many ways to score points, which I like. The components are great and the attachable parts certainly add to the enjoyment of the game. There are some good decisions to make, most of the time it's evaluating which spot will reward more victory points, and there are a lot. The perk cards give abilities to individual players who acquire them and can be swingy. Overall, the game is entertaining and fun to play.

Surprisingly brain burny for such a charming presentation. The game plays smoothly, but like some expanding worker placement games, to maximize your placement late in the game requires a lot of calculations on options. Some will find this extremely enjoyable, but it will tend to create longish turns. The plastic modifiable workers is clever and well implemented - along with a few other novel ideas. Overall, quite fine with a huge stack of station models, variety of replay is built right in.
