Camel Up (Second Edition)
30m - 45m
2 - 5 Players
Betting/Wagering games are games that encourage or require players to bet money (real or in-game) on certain outcomes within the game.
Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.
Very fast, random, chaotic - with a dash of risk-taking - and all out fun for just about anyone. You'll be cheering and groaning all through the game. Just make sure everyone knows it's all in good fun and the strategy is very light. Like it quite a bit - and plays up to 8!
A lot of non-improvements was added here. I really like the palm tree, but the plastic pyramid is loud as hell and the confused camels seem unnecessary and do nothing 95% of the time. Also, I prefer the cardboard coins from the first edition over the plastic ones from this. But the core game is still there and the fun is the same.
A wonderful racing game that unfortunately is very dependent on the group that is playing. Every participant must be into the theme and aspect of the game or else Camel Up can be a flop.
