Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.
Dice Rolling
In storytelling games, players are provided with conceptual, written, or pictorial stimuli which must be incorporated into a story of the players' creation.
Storytelling
Tile Placement games feature placing a piece to score VPs, with the amount often based on adjacent pieces or pieces in the same group/cluster, and keying off non-spatial properties like color, "feature completion", cluster size etc.

Some interesting ideas, but I just didn't feel like they came together well. The tile placement isn't as interesting as I thought it would be. I also didn't like the "fighting" opponents... It was always much more fun to just go on encounters too see what story played out. Not one I would ask to play again, but glad I did try it once. Was hoping for more though...

The encounters are the star of this game. having to choose option A or option B is cool. The tiles are pretty good as well but the characters peices are a pain. the plastic squares are to big to fit in some of the rooms. I made small two sided tokens and solved the problem.

Takes a little bit to get used to the tile laying rules, but once you're moving it is a lot of fun! Empty room are never empty but rather miniature chapters of a choose-your-own-adventure book where you have to use your individual delver's stats to weigh over risks. Definitely a unique concept to build your own dungeon, Hope to see expansions on the situation cards because they are some of the best times in the game!
