This is just first impressions mind you, but I really liked this game. They captures the show well, feels like how those fights are. And yet, feels nothing like all other fighting games I've played in board gaming. And believe me, it's been a lot of them. It's really unique in how damage can be used to prevent damage. And yes, it feels like wizard dodgeball. There is very little luck. It is a bit fiddly, and both the regular and deluxe tokens have their own issues. But it's thinky while not being slow. I wish the cards had art, but atleast the icons are big and overall the game has great iconography. The tricks you can do really change up your options, and the KS version has a ton to choose from. KS version also has a ton of teams so variety and replay value should be high. This is by far the most content I've ever seen locked behind KS for something that came to retail. You get 2 teams in retail, like 7 more in the KS version plus all those tricks. It's bananas. It'll take more plays to see what negatives could crop up. Right now I just wish the board was a little bigger, and the ks tokens had some 3 value (which I will be painting to do that). More plays it will certainly be getting. I just have to hope my brother enjoys it too. :D Feels exactly like a fight from that universe :D Unique in a crowded genre :) Low luck :) Good amount of teams and variety in KS version :) Great iconography and smooth gameplay :!block: KS version has WAY more content :!block: Official tie break rules are not in the manual :soblue: Damage tokens in both versions have their issues :soblue: Lack of artwork :soblue: Ref ending can feel rather abrupt :soblue: Board needed to be a tad bigger for all the tokens

Two-player dueling game with some light deck building and super strategic card play. Balancing attack and defense is really tight, and I think the skill ceiling is much higher than I will ever reach. I have trouble getting 2-player duel games to the table, but this one makes me want to make the effort.

Great game, but only for people who like the shows. It isn't at the level of a good game without that understanding.
