Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.

A very solid cooperative game with a theme I really love! Lots of expansions are coming and each animal feels very distinct.

Endangered is an amazing game! The theme is important and has been excellently integrated into the game mechanics. It's always challenging without becoming frustrating. The alpha leader problem cannot come into play here either, since everyone has their own hand of cards here. And with the numerous scenarios from the expansion, there is a high degree of variability and a high level of replay appeal. Whether as a solo game or in groups, for me the best cooperative game next to Spirit Island. It's a shame it hasn't been discovered by that many yet, because it definitely deserves more attention.

A good and thematic die placement game, and I don't normally like those, but this is more like a worker placement with dynamic spaces. I didn't think someone things worked incredibly well, and I worry about how many different modules they will be able to put out but overall I think it's a solid choice for a true medium weight coop game. Edit: the new species expansion adds well to the content, rating raised
