This mechanism requires players to select individual actions from a set of actions available to all players. Players generally select actions one-at-a-time and in turn order. There is usually(*) a limit on the number of times a single action may be taken. Actions are commonly selected by the placement of game pieces or tokens on the selected actions. Each player usually has a limited number of pieces with which to participate in the process.

A solid family-weight Rosenberg. The worker placement is surprisingly tight given the ocean of action spaces available. But the similarity of the action spaces is dull and the haphazard layout of the board makes it quite confusing to parse. I love the little vege-meeples and the bucolic theme comes through pretty well (minus the part where you raze your greenhouses to impress the tourists). I haven't seen all the different service cards that provide some variability, but I suspect the game will feel very samey across repeat plays.

First play: need to emphasise this is a recipe fulfilment race game. Very quick. Second play and despite this being a well balanced game, it leaves me a little numb inside. It just doesn't seem to feel like fun. Traded Dec 2018.

A nice vegetable growing challenge with nice pieces, and a fairly interesting worker placement board, and cards, to play around with for about an hour. It reminded me of his previous title "At the Gates of Loyang," which I also liked. Bottom line: Reykholt feels like a cute and pleasant exercise in solving an elaborate vegetable growing puzzle, and might serve as a nice non-gamer introduction to Uwe's more challenging, and more contentious titles.
