Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.
Card Drafting
Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.

Amazingly elegant - so easy to learn but very rich in terms of choices and different strategies. Seems to always build to a fast conclusion and a very narrow win. Loved it!

1st kickstarter edition for trade. Alien Frontiers is a dice rolling game that I actually enjoyed (a rarity). I can see this game becoming a favorite for when my group is in the mood for a casual/light strategy game. Often after a game, I find myself wanting more from the experience. I haven't decided if this is good or bad.

At least with 5 player too long and too much downtime. Also same players occupied the same action spaces every round so choices were limited. Thiefing was completely unnecessary and prolonged the game. Never again with five players. Four or three player game I would like to try.
