Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

Very straight forward scenario. Even the aggrive use of time counters is not that much out of the box.

This time around, the storyline sort of works, although I would have liked to see it more ingrained into gameplay, which is rather fragmented from adventure pack to adventure pack. I also appreciate the display of humility of the design notes.

EXPANSION: 6/6 The Ringmaker Cycle. This is a rough quest. Locations trigger non stop, you will have 2-3 enemies on you non stop. -Do not have any cards in your hand. (Many cards trigger X = to cards in your hand. Eliminate cards in your hand.....these triggers have zero effect.) -Lock down enemies instead of killing. (With 4 players you will have the entire Raven Deck engaged with you. As soon as you kill 1 they just come back.)
