Tried this twice and no just can't really get into it. Visually it was a pretty neat looking game but it's really just a very sloppy feeling game. The systems just do not mesh well at all, you have multiple boards all with different tasks you can attempt but it just feels like you are playing bits and pieces of different games all put together on a pretty looking game, but it also becomes a bit of a visual overload. Medium weight euro like choices often feel so random and takes quite a while for any real strategy to gel because of how many different tracks to keep track of. The theme of the game is just visual fluff, it really lacks any identity to the mechanics other than to sell a mediocre euro light game.

Decent resource management game with an interesting action selection mechanism. The real bulk of the points comes from an area majority mini game, and even though it's not a mechanical emphasis of the game, most of your points will come from there. The 2.7 weight is probably more due to the rules overhead than the strategic depth, although there is plenty of room for analysis paralysis.

Absolutely beautiful components that really fit the theme. Perhaps this is my group's meta-game, but it seems like whoever goes all in on white skulls and takes the icons early wins. Still an enjoyable game and doesn't overstay its welcome.
