Pattern Building is a system where players place game components in specific patterns in order to gain specific or variable game results. For example: placing chips on 2, 4, 6, 8 on a board gets the player an action card they can use later in the game.
Pattern Building
Tile Placement games feature placing a piece to score VPs, with the amount often based on adjacent pieces or pieces in the same group/cluster, and keying off non-spatial properties like color, "feature completion", cluster size etc.

We didn't hate it, but nothing about the game drew us to want to play it again. We gave it to our niece (who is also a gamer) to try, and it fell flat for her too.

Great presentation generally speaking but mainly compared to its predecessor. Unfortunately, its race-like nature was too evident for my taste for a game like this that in the end, i much prefer cottage garden or even patchwork. This game didn’t culminate, didn’t ramp up in any way, just dropped slightly flat compared to what i expected of it. Too bad.
