Betting/Wagering games are games that encourage or require players to bet money (real or in-game) on certain outcomes within the game.
Betting/Wagering
Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.
Dice Rolling
This mechanism requires players to select individual actions from a set of actions available to all players. Players generally select actions one-at-a-time and in turn order. There is usually(*) a limit on the number of times a single action may be taken. Actions are commonly selected by the placement of game pieces or tokens on the selected actions. Each player usually has a limited number of pieces with which to participate in the process.

I understand the issues with the gameplay, but I would play it again "as it is if" given the chance, I had fun the first time. It seems like people often wants to make houserules to fix the game, and I am no exception. Would not buy because I would want to test the house rules first, to make sure the problems are fixable.

Liked the idea of it but wasn't interested in the complicated combat resolution. I thought the idea was that you trained the fighter up throughout the game, however my friend just got a strong fighter at the end and ended up winning the end tournament easily.

Fun, fun and fun again! the worker placement part is fine, tough choices and all, but the tournament simply makes it amazing. Tried it a few times solo before a 4 player game; the solo experience is cool, but this really shines when played at full cap... amazing!
