Deck building/Pool building refers to a collection of related mechanisms. Players have a personal pool, or collection, of cards or tokens, that provide different actions and/or resources. A subset of those cards/tokens are randomly drawn each turn.
Deck / Pool Building
This mechanism requires players to select individual actions from a set of actions available to all players. Players generally select actions one-at-a-time and in turn order. There is usually(*) a limit on the number of times a single action may be taken. Actions are commonly selected by the placement of game pieces or tokens on the selected actions. Each player usually has a limited number of pieces with which to participate in the process.

Played co-op with the Invasion expansion. Perhaps due to the co-op nature or the game itself, but it felt like MPS, with some mild interactive planning but largely everyone doing their own thing. Felt like the game itself was the puzzle, since there was little or no interaction with other players. Not something I would need to own, but would probably play again if it is on the table.

LOVE IT! A bag-oriented, worker-placement deck builder. And so well done! My biggest criticism is that some directions/strategies are just inherently more powerful than others. This includes some of the buildings as a few of them are just plain *better* than most of the others. I know, you can knock some of them out to force variety, but the bigger picture of the game shouldn't depend on the players balancing out one another's strategies. It may be that the expansion fixes some of this? Not sure yet. Rating may improve with additional plays/exposure.

A wonderfully inventive Bag Building game for people who like Deck Builders, resource management, area control, track management, etc.
