In programming, every player must secretly choose and commit their moves for the next 'n' turns. Then each player plays their turns out according to the choices made. The key to Action / Movement Programming is that all players choose and lock in their actions, prior to anyone executing any of their actions.
Action / Movement Programming
Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
Maneuvers that directly attack an opposing player's strength, level, life points or do something else to impede their progress.

Great, zen-like game with some mild take-that strategy. Beautiful art. Already "upgraded" the rock meeples to actual rocks as suggested in the manual. Great for playing after work or during a weekend morning with coffee. Cards are intuitive to read from the Koi's perspective. Not sure why so many people seem to get this wrong despite it being called out in the manual. Some prominent and not so prominent reviewers seem to have missed this fact. The gameplay is quick, easy and low pressure.

Was hoping this would be "like Roborally but with fish" but it isn't. The game does not really have "programmable movement", it is play a card from your hand and move your fish in the sequence of arrows/rotates shown. Sometimes you will have the perfect card for the situation allowing you to scoop up points effortlessly and sometimes you will have a hand of worthless garbage. The large swing from what you draw is very frustrating. Too bad because the art/components are very beautiful.

Decent enough gameplay. Not much interaction at 2, but I imagine there would be to much randomness at 3-4. Ultimately not one I need in my collection, but would play again if asked.
