As a fan of the highlander franchise I have really enjoyed this elimination game, there is an element of dice rolling but you are able to add upgrades that can help nullify any disadvantage if your not a fan of that mechanic
Philip Jelley
Nice, straightforward, card game for filling in time, or a fun night. It helps a lot if you are a fan of the Highlander movie. Each immortal has a special ability and can choose to hunt enemies (draw Encounter Cards and choose one) or lie low (draw era cards and choose one), though you may end up fight a duel if you roll the same Initiative dice. Once you run through the Ancient era deck you move into the modern era, and when that is through to the Gathering, where you fight until there is only one survivor. There are also powerful weapon cards, allies, minor immortals, and arenas (which affect duels). Not for overly serious players or those who despise luck.

At its heart a push-your-luck game, I'd recommend this to any Highlander fan. The theme comes through pretty well and there's a good variety of cards (events/weapons/encounters/life histories). I think non-Highlander fans may also enjoy it, but it will depend on how much they like dice rolling (there is a lot of it) and how much they don't mind player elimination and swings of luck (of which there are both). Played: 6-8 times.
