Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.

Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
Some board games incorporate elements of role playing. It can be that players control a character that improves over time. It can also be a game that encourages or inspires storytelling.

I am a little stuck on quest 11. I don’t understand how to kill the nightmare eater. Any ideas? (I don’t understand that the key is in the box clue)

This a good, solid cooperative dungeon crawler. It is somewhat comparable with the 1vsMany prequel game, though good luck storing them together! The upgrade system and the combat systems are fairly simple, though when fighting a boss sometimes things can feel pretty random. Also the board, while randomly generated, never really becomes anything very exciting. Still, I enjoyed my plays and I was happy to see a large variety of villains and heroes. I will say that the campaign is a little bit lackluster - each scenario felt more or less the same, just with slightly different story elements. If I had it to do over, I would skip the campaign completely and just play it as a cooperative fight against a random scenario. Fortunately, there are rules for doing that, though I almost wish the campaign had been listed as an optional add on rather than the other way around. All that aside, I had a good time with this.
