Initial rating, based on a single 4-player game. The drafting in this game feels pretty redundant, as it's not the type of gameplay where you'll be actively blocking opponents from achieving their goals (other than perhaps in the final turn or two). It's really hard to envision at the start how the eventual landscape and trails will turn out. Still, there's opportunities to be clever and play the odds, with varying scoring goals to keep things fresh, so overall I think I'm left with a pretty positive impression of the game.

This sounds like a simple game but the challenge is rich - which goals to sacrifice in order to obtain other goals (or in my case any points at all) is brain burning. The rounds are over well before any player has built all the trails they hoped to build.

Pros: -Light tile layer with a bit of decision making. -Animals add a bit of decision making. Some of its limitations: -UI: Red and Brown paths are very similar visually. Screen print of deluxe edition is also low contrast. -Retail travel edition doesn't come with plastic cards. -Non interactive draft. And the time it is interactive (in adventurer mode) you always have at least 1 shared adventurer with each adjacent player, so you are all aiming for the same tiles with no control over it.
