Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
The simultaneous action selection mechanic lets players secretly choose their actions. After they are revealed, the actions resolve following the rule-set of the game.

Another solid game from Board & Dice and designer Fabio Lopiano. The game blends area control and engine-building in a really interesting way. The game also offers crunchy decisions in a game that plays really fast since players only get 5 turns. The turns do get longer as the game goes and it can lead to some downtime. This may get better with repeated plays. Solid game that I would definitely play again.

Lives up to the play time even on a first game. However, it doesn't count setup and tear down which is about as long as the play time.

This is one of the most underrated games in my collection; I'm shocked that it wasn't a massive hit. Feels like a "lighter" T-game.
