Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
The primary goal of a set collection mechanic is to encourage a player to collect a set of items.

This is a great little action selection city builder that I would push as a gateway to people who are new to gaming. There isn't a lot of meat if you're an experienced gamer, but it's still fun and we both really enjoyed it. Player Count: 1-4

Enjoying this as a 2 player game. Took us 3 games to get the point of not needing the rule book and taking our actions quickly. The 4th game took about 40 minutes.

the randomness of the event cards are extremely annoying. I don't understand why anyone would want to spend precious actions acquiring bird tokens. Those two aside, the rest of the game is fine although nothing new under the sun:). The movement cards, action cards, and area majority is fine although some action cards seem much stronger than others (although it can be situational). I just don't see much replay value in it even if I enjoyed the game more.
