Pattern Building is a system where players place game components in specific patterns in order to gain specific or variable game results. For example: placing chips on 2, 4, 6, 8 on a board gets the player an action card they can use later in the game.

Very fun puzzle. Great components. I love the blocks. Can't wait to try it with three or four players.

This game is fun and has an element of depth after a few plays that you will enjoy. The solo mode is quite thematic as well!

I really enjoyed the game and find it a bit of unique twist on a polyomino game in 3D! It's pretty simple to learn, with placing rules probably being the most complicated part. However, I could see it being very difficult to truly master. I can see a few different strategies that I'd like to test out to see what works best. My biggest complaint is the platform design. For a game that might involve tall stacks of somewhat unstable pieces, having the whole play board lifted up on cardboard stilts only adds the instability. A bump on the table can really send pieces tumbling. That being said, I do understand what they designed it that way since being eye-level with the board is helpful when seeing if you score, but we found it better to just duck down and play with the board on the table rather than keep using the platform design. Overall fun and unique game that I'm glad is in our collection.
