A strong and fun lighter/shorter game, that has a brilliant way of turning a 2-player game into a 4-player game. Make things more competitive/cooperative!

Abstract academy is a neat and colorful pattern building where the players compete towards common objectives to create certain patterns. Gameplaywise, it offers a fun gameplay, where you can build in the other players playing areas and destroy their plans. It also means they can build in yours - maybe not as fun as destroying for someone else. There are quite a lot of objectives, that are enough different to enhance several plays. Though, the replayability is still a bit limited once you’ve played through that deck of objective cards. For me this is a perfect filler game. Gameplay is smooth, easy to grasp and short. A perfect game to warm up your gaming group before you go for those other games. Abstract academy comes in a small package, just like a "uno" box. And it’s not a box, it’s a regular card package. I know this isn’t a big deal for the gameplay itself, but it kind of effects my total experience of the game. The game is greater than the package and I usually embrace games that comes in small packages, but this game really needs a proper, small box. It’s difficult to get the game and rule sheet back in the pack, due to this comprimised solution. It’s a big risk this game, which is a good game, will be hidden and forgotten somewhere in the game shelf due to this.

Abstract Academy is a two player game where you share a canvas with the other player and attempt to impress your professors with your section of the canvas! You’ll take turns placing cards adjacent to one another on the table into a 4x4 grid, with each player scoring for the 2 rows closer to them. As the grid is not fixed until the 4th card of any row or column is placed, you won’t know which cards you are scoring at the start! Even when the grid is fixed, you’re still able to place cards in the middle two rows so you can mix things up for your opponent too! This is a pretty good and easy to pick up 2 player game where you can outmaneuver your opponent and if you’re an art fan, we would really recommend you take a look at this game! cited from https://www.instagram.com/p/CeEJ2MtJvAe/
