In Rise, you assume responsibility for the economic and social development of a city. There are not many limits to your possibilities: On various tracks, you can influence how best to provide for your citizens’ well-being, whether through culture, science, or political relations — but all of this can be achieved only in accordance with respect for conservation of the environment and the satisfaction of the population.
The game revolves around ten tracks on which you move your markers to gain further effects and gather influence. The unique and innovative card mechanism, which includes events and tough decisions, will change your decision making from round to round.
Once twelve rounds have been played, players count their points to see who was able to accumulate the most influence in the city.

I love tracks, and this game is just move up tracks, so I'm super into it. There are ups and downs to choosing any track to go up so it's a all an interesting balancing act.

FIRST IMPRESSION: If you love combo building and moving cubes up and down spreadsheet style, this is the game for you! I had a fair amount of fun pulling the levers and pushing the buttons but I do wonder if there will be certain set combos that will be found out to be best pairings after one gets familiar with possible setups. To be fair, there is a fair bit of replay with doublesided boards and the opportunity to mix and match to change things up and the cards that drive game play will come out differently each game. AP can certainly be a problem but you can usually think ahead at least and plan during other people's turns for the most part as there is limited player interaction.

Design of the game sugest that society benefited from deaths of factory workers or worse - Holocaust.
