Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

Mediocre balance, and serious overproduction/overprice issue for the amount of game in the box, at least for me. There are much better 1v1 games on the market for the money - but maybe you'll get more value out of the box if you're more into minis than we are.

I did not like this very much. The actions available to you each turn are driven by card draws and they are just too random. Bad card draws - too many of one color or for one hero - are too common. I realize that the strategy is making due with what you drew, but I found it very unsatisfying to be regularly drawing cards that give you very few options.

Couldn't find much strategy on first play. Second was more fruitful. I might still prefer Wildlands for this kind of simple tactical combat.
