Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

Delicate game that depends on player involvement and team composition. Can be either a 5 or a 9. Feels strongly balanced toward humans losing.

Kind of hard to rate since it will likely play out differently every time. If the game reaches its full potential, then I could see it being super fun; on the other hand, it definitely has the potential to fall flat based on the randomness and investment of the players. It's been a while since my one play of BSG so I can't really compare the two. I think this version is probably streamlined and easier to teach.

Felt like the traitors didn't really stand a chance, at any point in the game. And it was a long, long, long game.
