(EspaceJeux, 2020-02-07) Hadal Project is the first of the Blue series (Time Stories Revolution). It is more streamlined than the original using a single resource (azrak) instead of Time Units to explorer, perform tests, boost skills, or help others. The story fits perfectly with the Heiden File novel, trying to find a cure for a plague that hit humanity hard in the XXII'd century. I really enjoyed finding various tokens and figuring out their use. This new series keeps the beautiful panoramic view of locations, but changes the tests from fully luck based dice rolls with skill checks with potential boost and destiny deck a la BSG.

The changes from the first edition to this new format with the time management with crystals leads to a more linear game with less repeatings, which is good. However the skill checks became less gamey and a bit boring though. Story is OK.

This reboot of TIME Stories addresses some issues with the base game and like all scenarios is nicely illustrated, but the actual story is not particularly engaging.
