Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

My faves are the Princesses, closely followed by the devious Kitty-kats... Mixed with my Smash Up base game.

Mythic Horses: Lots of minion manipulation. Works best if there are already enough of your minions on the table, though many cards are useless or underpowered in an opening hand. Kitty Cats: Use minions as resources. Take control of other players' minions. Good times.

The idea is hilarious and I hope occasionally they'll run with stuff like this...mix up Kittens, Mythical Horses, Fairies and Princesses with your darker factions for a load of laughs. Smash Up knows no bounds to its entertaining absurdity, and yet it remains a very mechanically-driven, competitive title where much of the joy is in seeing how the abilities of your two Factions interact. Pretty Pretty is no exception to that.
