The Little Flower Shop has some of the soft, friendly artwork of Herbaceous, but what it most closely resembles in play in 7 Wonders, with it's drafting mechanic. The balance between seeking out high point combos and optimizing what is available is interesting, given that to some extent the strategy for every player is more similar in order to fill their display. Game play and rules are definitely more straightforward in Little Flower Shop, and the play streams along quickly to an ending. I appreciate the concision of play, and the family friendly theming, and while some of the Civ building energy is missing, there is a clear feeling of building up the tableau and the display. I like it- it's a strong add to Steve Finn's games which doesn't bog down, is family friendly, and yet it adds a depth which some of his Dice games do not have.

Enjoy this game- more of a quick filler, I enjoy the flower theme, but we usually don’t play it much as we chose other games over this one.
