Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
The primary goal of a set collection mechanic is to encourage a player to collect a set of items.

I just played once. I think is a great game , but way too complicated on rules for the first time. Despite that , once you have played once is preety easy to get the flow. I would like to get to play it again and see if i can give it a 8 or 9. I think GWT does it a litlle bit simpler and easier to enjoy but this one is way richer in options.

Sorry Uwe. Caverna was a really good attempt, but black angel aside, Pfister is clearly the sandbox king in my mind!

+Intelligent mix of different mechanisms: tableau building, handmanagement, area control +Feels well balanced -expert game, less accessible than GWT -rather dry, theme very much painted on -AP sensitive and therefore -long ... 3 players, 4 rounds, 4 actions per round per player ie. 16 actions per player = 4 hours of play (without explanation)
