Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.
Card Drafting
Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

May21: A terrific card game and one I was a little worried about as (with Coup vs Coup 54 for example) I usually prefer smaller quicker lighter versions of games. But as CL2 comes with CL1 in the box it’s great to have. There is so so much variety for the base game here and I certainly hope I get to explore that but not sure I’ll have the partners to really come to grips with this one. But we’ll see!

Funner than it looked. Cool and simple card game with solid replayability because of variable card color abilities.

This is a great sequel that has much more replayability. The first game was fine but after a while you would understand the nuances and there wouldn't be much that is different between games. The new edition has 5 variations of each of the types which creates tons of different ways to play. Really solid.
