Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.
Card Drafting
Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
Play occurs upon a modular board that is composed of multiple pieces, often tiles or cards. In many games, board placement is randomized, leading to different possibilities for strategy and exploration. Some games in this category have multiple boards which are not used simultaneously, preserving table space. Unused boards remain out of play until they are required.
Modular Board
Tile Placement games feature placing a piece to score VPs, with the amount often based on adjacent pieces or pieces in the same group/cluster, and keying off non-spatial properties like color, "feature completion", cluster size etc.

Mage knight applied in a dungeon but with hisown identity! Gen ti,es better than re u know exetcly which monsters spawn and where and the repetition of actions are granted! Unbelieveable it s so put down in this rank...

Solid game with lots of interesting choices. Streamlined tactical play and not as rules-heavy as some others. Lots of brain burn at times in a good way like Renegade, Shadowrun:Crossfire or Spirit Island for reference.

There are many parallels here to Mage Knight but taken down into the dungeon. It's a bit more brisk than MK and more intuitive thanks much simpler and easier to grok iconography, but they're both similar in that they're puzzle-y strategic games buoyed by deck-building and incrementally adding to your pool of cards. Perhaps the best quality of this game is that you assembled a team of individuals that a single player controls. These characters are drafted at the start of play and offer a unique combination of cards to form your starting deck. This gives the game a very distinct feel every single time you sit down as you need to learn your capabilities and become comfortable with your deck. It is a long game at an hour per player, and downtime can be large at the full complement. Still, multiplayer in PVP mode is great fun and gives the game a very satisfying arc of growing in power until you meet in the middle and battle it out. ------------------------------------------------- Full review: https://geekandsundry.com/dungeon-alliance-is-a-clever-blend-of-dungeon-crawler-and-deck-builder/
