1 - 5 Players
Ages 8+
Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.
Card Drafting
Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.
Dice Rolling
The primary goal of a set collection mechanic is to encourage a player to collect a set of items.

Really nice components for the KS version. The gameplay is super simple but full of meaningful choices to take. The only downside is the downtime - while the active player is making their choices, the other players pretty much stay put and wait for their turn, and it can be a while if players are prone to AP.

Sleeve with Mayday Green Standard Premium 63.5x88mm - Sleeved with 70mmx70mm sleeve kings - 44x68mm Sleeve Kings - Swan Pan 80mmx122mm *Review on @tabletoptale in Instagram* Creature comforts ? stays firmly within the comfort zone of a 'chill' and pleasant ? game. Sometimes, I think that's fine. Not every game has to be schintillating ? and stress-inducing but in this case, it would be a stretch to classify the title as a worker placement game at all ? . I think the label of a 'worker placement' game is probably the reason why it has gotten some flak within certain groups that I'm in. It's loose and doesn't seem to have much interaction. This is true and definitely a worthy 'criticism'. I just don't think that the game itself, sets itself out to do those things... to be a dice drafter or worker placement game . Instead, I see this game as puzzle ? optimiser. The players are subject to 2/3 of the same 'uncontrolled' ? circumstances and you have to hedge your bets. What makes the round-to-round interesting is not just the different values of the dice... but also the the changing effects and rewards of the worker placement spots . With that choice in design, we come across the very rightful critcism of the game just outright being better at lower player counts (2p even) because it just doesn't quite matter what anyone else does other than for the market. Even the worker placement spots that are 'built' don't really do the builder any favours or make it interesting for interaction . I find myself being sympethatic to the game because I think it is a comfortable, Hygge sort of game... but with that, it really was unecessary to make it 5p. Even with the included mini expansions, the game feels like it's just walking on its own without much input from those in the table. The secret objectives would have made more sense as a public objective that people can work to deny . I hesitate to immediately beat it down... I do like it... I just don't think it has that much longevity nor purpose in my collection... especially for a group that loves to interact around the table

Owned but had not played standard edition. Played deluxe version at Games cafe in Camberley but then was disappointed I didn’t have the lovely wooden bits - so bought deluxe version in a faded box from a game shop up north!then sold standard copy on FB
