Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.
Card Drafting
Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.

We found the odds were too much against us to enjoy the game at first. Then we realised that it worked better if each player removed their token off the board in between their turns (the rules aren't clear on this). We also decided in the case of causing damage to allow a choice of one out of two or three tokens (depending on the amount of damage needed to 'defeat' the card), and to allow for multiple damages on a single enemy during one turn. Like that we have had more fun.

A Game with the mechanics rising of thematic star wars. the game is still a roll dice ,push your luck. With a bit of management when deciding which character to recruit or whether to attack an Imperial. The game is very random. Sometimes all the Imperials could appear to you towards the beginning and others towards the end. The game also gives you some option to modulate the difficulty. I don't like the fact that sometimes you have a lot of cards in your faction it becomes uncomfortable at the table (but this usually happens in games of two and one player). The game has good components and is quite fun for a light game before or after a session of heavier and deeper games. Regarding the theme, some fans of the star wars saga may not like that they have mixed all the heroes and characters from all the movies including Rogue one. Of all the rising mechanics games, this is the one I like the most since although others polished a little, the mechanics are much longer (15 minutes on average) and I prefer that these types of games be fast. It also includes illustrations of the characters and not photo images of the movies,(such as in the Harry Potter one), something I really hate in games
