Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.
Card Drafting
Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.

While I still love the Harry Potter Rising game better, this is bright and fun. I would recommend this for any family who is looking for a fun cooperative game. This is a keeper for sure. I haven't even seen Spongebob!

In the last couple of weeks of the school holidays my youngest has latched onto Spongebob, so thankfully this is a decent design using that IP to get him to play. But for me it still suffers at being a slow pace due to multiple die rolling/manipulation exercise which can test the patience of not only 2 players but even with kids. What saves it from being boring is the satisfaction of meeting a contract, often on the last hail Mary die roll. Also there is some acceleration in getting more than one contract in a turn which is due to powering up/synergising text effects/token assists, which comes at a price with turn time bloat. The biggest issue I have with the Rising design, as with Death Eaters, is the game length of die rolling monotony, made worse by the game state stalling when you fail to meet a contract. It feels like a frustrating waste of a turn, the emotional opposite of the satisfaction of matching a contract, when you have invested some thinking time into assigning the die/dice, for it all come to nothing. Then the forward momentum of refreshing the drafting display stalls and the objectives are delayed and the game starts to overstay its welcome. As others have said, at least at Bikini Bottom the objectives seem to be easier to achieve.

Just plain fun to play and can be surprisingly challenging to play especially if you choose to get more orders. Also my favorite dice so far.
