You are a painter in Colors of Paris, and you’ve decided to participate in "Bateau Lavoir", a friendly competition between several painters in a workshop in Montmartre, Paris. The newspapers know about this challenge, so perhaps this is a good opportunity to become famous, following the path of Cézanne, Toulouse-Lautrec, Monet, or Renoir…
Colors of Paris is a management game in which you must take care of your paint tubes, mixtures, and time to create works, all the while anticipating others to perform as needed within a rotating set of actions.

The wheel mechanic is very neat. Every round several actions are unavailable. However, the wheel spins one click at the end of the round, freeing up those actions and closing off new ones. Because you leave one worker on the outside of the wheel every round, you can plan ahead by taking a less desirable action knowing that the action will spin to your workers location... that is unless someone took an action last round that allows them to spin the wheel 0 or 2 spaces!

With some rules tweak, this game no longer feels like a rush-to-finish-the-basic-colors-painting and feels much better pace. Still plays under an hour for 3-4 players, and one that's enjoyed very much by our family.
