Lisboa is one of my favorite games. That fact has very little to due with why I like this game. I think Lacerda has developed a great, thinky, but not overly crunchy filler game here. If you know Lisboa, you will immediately see the similarity of this game to the building a shop/public building action in that game. But the feel of this game is totally different. This one is more of an obstacle course of decisions to make, using only 1 of 4 actions per turn. The end comes on quick (and can trigger without anyone realizing it at times). It is solid, and it feels almost exactly as weighty and interesting as 7 Wonders Duel, with a lot less going on though.

First impression: As a solo, I enjoy the puzzle and the different challenges, it's a good way to explore different aspects of the games. Not sure how I will like it multiplayer, as there seems to be a lot of blocking and hate drafting possible. Note on representation: 8 different customer faces. Half are feminine-presenting and half are masculine-presenting. 4 of them are BIPOC, including 2 Black people. Drawings on the board are quite small and most of the characters seem to have a very light skin. I wish the cover art would show more diversity, like the customers tiles.

Kind of bummed on this. I expected to like it more but after playing a hand full of times it's something I'm not really drawn to. It lacks the fun interesting decisions for me and I find myself wanting to play other titles. The mechanics and gameplay work so I can see playing on occasions but it's not something that would see regular play.
