Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.
Card Drafting
The primary goal of a set collection mechanic is to encourage a player to collect a set of items.
Set Collection
Tile Placement games feature placing a piece to score VPs, with the amount often based on adjacent pieces or pieces in the same group/cluster, and keying off non-spatial properties like color, "feature completion", cluster size etc.

Great simple rules game but has great pay off. Only downside is that first player will always have an advantage.

This game is a perfect fit as an introductory one. You just pick different type of Tetris-like tiles (such as in Patchwork) and try to cover a grid to build up a zoo with bears. It is easy to learn and fun to play although the analysis-paralysis factor can be a nuisance, but as usual that depends on the players.

Played different than I thought it would, but maybe a little better. Very smooth-playing. Quite easy to explain and score. I think the achievement tiles will make this more of a gamer's game.
