Played with wife. A really good night of thinking. Only two cases in, plenty of value in this game.

Great themed game. Certain scenarios are definitely better than others. Sometimes, you can pour over the materials but the clues are pretty obscure. I wish the game was a little more consistent over the entire game.

Case four has a single point of failure, where, if you don't get to a single location, half of the puzzle won't open up to you, and that feels very bad from a narrative game design standpoint. Prior to this, there seem to be different ways of approaching the cases and getting the answers that made the world feel open and immersive, but this single point really constricted the game and now it just feels like a jumbled book. If there is only one way of doing things, then why is this a game? This is no longer a game, as there aren't emergent parts of the system, there is only one linear system, so it's a book. But I'm currently reading other books that are just way better as books, so I don't know how to justify spending more time on this system.
