Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

A great LCG, with lots of new content coming out all the time. There's some power creep IMHO (both in terms of individual cards and available comboes), but it's not bad, since the game isn't competitive, and the quests get a lot harder over time, too. See main game comment for more info and where I currently am with the game.

You can get really screwed if too many of the bad card come out. The key to the quest is: run as fast as you can. Enjoyed it a lot.

This seems a well balanced scenario. The proper mixture of creatures, locations and other obstacles. The difficulty level is at sweet spot: it happens I finish the adventure after an interesting, satisfying game and the success is not far from (and sometimes very close to) the failure. Surely not the advertised difficulty level=7 though. Locate tests and Lost effects are distinctive features of the expansion and I like them. The same rating as the base game.
