Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

The third cycle of expansions continues adding more awesomeness to Lord of the Rings LCG, in form of new heroes, cards for the decks, and new quests. With Heirs of Númenor thing have been shaken up, with different statistics used for questing and increased difficulty. The adventure packs of this cycle definitely follow up on that! The Druadan Forest contains a bunch of new cards for the players decks: some new Outlands allies, and a few very powerful events for mono-sphere decks. The scenario itself is quite challenging, with a "resource choke" theme.

Very delighted after the 1st play. The scenario seemed fresh and with the satisfying level of diffculty (not too easy and not frustratingly hard). But the second play was ultra-easy. Maybe my deck (incl. Gloin and a lot of healing + a lot of resource generation) was perfect for this scenario...

A bit on the easy side, but I only played once. It was fun, and it may have the potential to be more challenging. The story didn't seem to fit what happened in the quest. I thought I killed the bad guy then I read the story and actually I somehow won his trust instead?!? I guess I can justify this after the fact, but initially I was very confused by that.
