   I love the theme of this one. Silver Twilight Lodge, witches, goat spawn, cultists, and rituals. Pretty much how I like my Lovecraftian horror best.

   The mix of investigators in this deluxe is nice (With a bonus 6th investigator which partly offsets two of them being the official release of previously promo only investigators) with many of them introducing entirely unique play styles. Even the more "mundane" ones (Rita and Marie) play in previously unexplored places. The player cards themselves are a mixed bag. They're generally on the weaker side (and heavy on cycles) but it also introduces some staples (Fingerprint Kit, Well Connected, Money Talks, Deny Existence, Act of Desperation and the Tarots.) While the player cards are (mostly) nothing to write home about, the mix of investigators in this box is fairly impressive. Including the prologue is a great idea and I'm eager to see how it pays off (This is the first campaign I've played as it releases). For the scenarios themselves my initial impression was extremely high, but it's cooled slightly over time. The prologue is an awesome idea. The problem is that the reply value is low, the set up time is long and the pay off is - ultimately - fairly small. The first scenario didn't go where I expected (I expected a follow up on the prologue) and gets things kicked off in a suitably unique and interesting way, though one that had to have a slight errata and can be very frustrating for investigators who don't hit the ground running. The second scenario is the first pay off for the prologue and sets the story in motion nicely, and the mechanics surrounding the lodge cause it to play out in a fairly unique way. Unfortunately, as much as I enjoyed these scenarios at first they do set the warning signs of things to come in this campaign - a fairly high level of difficulty (With some very punishing enemies and the haunt mechanic punishing those might already be dodgy for investigation) and a barrage of passive and triggered effects you have to remember which can both really both down your investigator but also be very hard to track all the modifiers and triggers at all times and even after three times through the campaign I find myself making frequent play errors due to this. The bookkeeping just becomes intense.
