How does Alba work?
Starting Your Journey
Open your copy of Alba to find a world of possibilities, starting with your character sheet and map and beginning at Chapter 1, Section 1.
Choosing Your Path
At the end of every section, you’ll be given instructions on how to proceed. Choose wisely, as your decisions will ripple throughout your experience. When you’ve selected your option, turn to the section labeled and continue reading.
Tracking Your Progress
Some choices will have instructions for adding new specialities, items, encounters and other marks to your character sheet or map. When you’ve decided which route to follow, carry out each of the instructions before continuing on to the next section.
As you reach further into the world of Alba, you’ll encounter some choices that require specific items, expertise or experiences. If you meet the criteria for this option, you may to choose to follow this path, or decide to follow another as normal. Your choices throughout your journey affect your entire experience.
Navigating The World
As you progress, you’ll discover new locations to explore, or you’ll revisit places you’ve already seen that have been radically altered by your choices earlier on your adventure. At the end of each chapter, you’ll choose where to explore next.
Every decision you make in Alba will ripple throughout your own personal story, affecting the world around you, your character and where and how your story will conclude. There are 19 distinct endings in Alba, and your final choices will be determined by the route you take to get there.
