Robinson Crusoe: Mystery Tales is the second big expansion for Robinson Crusoe: Adventures on the Cursed Island. Unlike its predecessor, it not only includes a campaign (titled "The Lost City of Z") in which you follow great explorer Lieutenant Colonel Percy Fawcett, but also a full set of rules and components that can be played with the base game of Robinson Crusoe, along with two standalone scenarios.
Robinson Crusoe: Mystery Tales introduces ten new characters, the new deck of event cards, three new decks of adventure cards, new beast cards, new mystery cards, and the new mechanism of sanity that you can use in the base game of Robinson Crusoe to change it into a game of dreadful stories! Additionally, the expansion includes five missions that form a long and epic campaign: "The Lost City of Z".

Woow what an expansion! The only shame is that the monster doesnt have any pictures and I want more. The rules are well written and the expansion doesnt convolute the game just add more horror. I only played the horror mode and have no opinion on the campaign.

Did not feel that the new mechanics really did much for the game. When your character goes insane, they disappear into the various decks (with the possibility of returning later). However, I never had anyone return at any point in the campaign. If it didn't show up then, I seriously doubt it will come to pass during a one-off scenario. I also did not care for the cliche/racist depictions of the indigenous people.

The Campaign that this expansion offers makes this already good game just a bit better. It also shows the game seems to be almost made for a campaign style play. Since our first scenario was very good we profited from this the rest of the scenario's and we haven't been in trouble in any of the scenario's. Still a very entertaining experience!
