Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.

Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
Play occurs upon a modular board that is composed of multiple pieces, often tiles or cards. In many games, board placement is randomized, leading to different possibilities for strategy and exploration. Some games in this category have multiple boards which are not used simultaneously, preserving table space. Unused boards remain out of play until they are required.

Well, this is without doubt the largest set of boxes I have ever received for a KS. Apart from Gloomhaven that is. Provisionally (after a solo play), I like it quite a bit. It is straightforward, but provides enough decision space and dancing around with actions to give you a good feeling for the essentials of a dungeon crawler - always something to interact with, always something to fight - with a longer 'quest' that I'm certain will add additional variety. The options fan out as the game continues - you gain things when searching features in the rooms. And there's a looming sense of dread if you take too long as the 'villain' of the dungeon threatens and eventually appears. Much less to fiddle with than Gloomhaven (by a long way!) and yet gives you a fast feeling of adventure. Rather wish it had more variety beyond room-to-room crawling, but for that, it is quite nice.

For now it looks ok. Played twice, there is variability between games with different decks but the game play still feels repetetive, a lot of the cards in each deck are duplicated so you will see a lot of them over and over again and the differences between them are just little. The game drags a little bit too long for what it does. Bit we had fun time. I wouldnt buy it without the stretch goals because they add the most of the fun with new decks wich looks much more fun then the base game decks.

Samey, long, and lots of bookkeeping. Beautiful components, but there are better dungeon crawls out there.
