Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

Strange quest. It basically resets after a while, robbing you of allies and attachments. Which is frustrating, because then, it becomes monstrously difficult and smashes you with lots of enemies, and shadow cards that easily destroy 1 or more heroes at a time. I had an enemy hitting for 12 once, just due to some unlucky shadows... Hard. Extremely hard!! Wins/losses: 0/4

The card draw mechanic of Dunland enemies is pretty fun, and really limits your options if you want to be able to beat the quest. I like how the time counters keep you working as fast as possible instead of just being able to turtle for the mass of enemies that attack you at the end. Not a super memorable quest, but a fun one while working through the Ringmaker Cycle. Celeborn and all of the fun Silvan toys really make for a fun deck that is very different to play.

I like LotR in general. Some expansions are easier, some are harder. Slowly playing through the expansions so they run together a bit.
