Difficult and fun. Must be at least three players, four for an "easier" time. Needs app companion (phone/laptop/etc). Winning is rarely an option.

Played a demo and was super excited since I LOVE Space Alert and was itching for another real-time coop game. THIS GAME FALLS FLAT. I have no problem with the App (Love Alchemists and use an app and randomly generate missions in Space Alert) and I enjoy the real time aspect of Space Alert, Galaxy Trucker, and Goblins. Lastly, I enjoy cooperative games that don't allow a dominant player effect (time constraints in Space Alert, and imperfect information in Hanabi disallow for the dominant player effect). Unfortunately in this game, most of the decisions are pretty trivial and don't require the in depth decision making like determining how to simultaneously kill a Phasing Frigate and stop a nuclear bomb going off on your ship by carefully coordinating multiple actions with multiple players in Space Alert. It's simply allocating X amount of stuff to perform Y. To make matters worse, it then boils down to dice rolls. Yes, you can "minimize risk" by taking certain actions, but it is just absolutely unsatisfying to depend on die rolls as opposed to a set list of procedures as in Space Alert. I don't mind DETERMINING what comes up based on randomness(different threats in different zones and on different length tracks), but RESOLVING things based on die rolls is just too much of a luckfest for me.

Some neat elements. Good tension. Somehow ultimately felt flat...and same-y, regardless of which enemies you face.
