Quite simple WWII miniatures game with tanks. The game is all about moving and firing. Movement is done via a rules to place your tank to a new position. Combat is based on attack and defense dice rolls. It matters, if your tank has moved or stood still when firing. The location where a tank is hit increases the chances for more damage. The game uses a point system to choose your tanks and upgrades. The game will come with many expansion to buy new tank types. Similar games: * Star Wars: X-Wing Miniatures

I played the computer game, I was looking forward to playing the board game, I love miniatures, I play a lot of Bolt Action, I know a lot about WW2 ... so I was looking forward to this game, nice setup, play-mat, little 3D houses, walls, forests, professionally painted tanks, people knowledgeable in the rules, expansions and extras ... everything was ready for a great game, a streamlined, fast-paced, simple rules game that I want to buy to introduce friends to wargaming. What I got was a historically grossly inaccurate game where the British have all the possible advantages and just slaughter their hapless opponent who has no freaking chance at all. First of all, historically out of the four nation in the game (Soviets, Germans, Americans, British) the British easily had the worst tanks: slow, unreliable, outgunned and outclassed in armor ... yet in this game the Cromwell tanks shoot better, are better armored and have a huge initiative that cannot even be matched by others. This means they move last and shoot first every single freaking turn ... as the Soviets we could not do anything there was no advantage on out side. Which is ridiculous. It is not a fun experience being hammered when you have nothing going for you by the very design of the game that is so unbalanced that a few turns in you know there is no way of winning this. I will definitely avoid buying the game in the future it is just not a fun experience at all.
