Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.
Card Drafting
Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.
Dice Rolling
Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
The primary goal of a set collection mechanic is to encourage a player to collect a set of items.

No sólo añade nuevos elementos para dar variedad y rejugabilidad al juego, sino que además ajusta algunas mecánicas y reglas para pulir y refinar aún más el juego base.

Adds more bird and bonus cards, goal tiles, resource tokens, eggs, a wild resource type (nectar), mechanisms (end of game bird cards and nectar spent scoring), player mats, dice, and some modifications for the solo experience. I like this expansion a lot. The wild resource type and extra action spaces on the new player mats increases (1) the number of actions that players can take on their turns, (2) the types of actions and strategies that players can pursue overall in the game, and (3) the tempo and tension of the game, which, in my experience, results in higher-scoring, more diverse, and faster games.

A worthy Wingspansion. It's just a shade away from being a standalone box with the inclusion of more birds, eggs and end-round goals, plus a handful of new bonus cards. The nectar resource is pretty neat with points awarded for the majority spent in each habitat. The use it (before the end of a round) or lose it is great and it also offers a means to get birds out a bit faster with the added flexibility. Game end bonuses on bird cards are also fun and a way to sometimes mitigate the now less powerful "lay eggs" action on the new player mats. As is, I don't think we'll ever simply mix birds from the expansions together with one another or the base game but rather, decide which "theater" we'd like to play and grab the corresponding deck (there are just too many) - but each to their own. That said, I could certainly see the new playmats and nectar resource being used in every session going forward. The new bonus cards and end-round goals are compatible with the base game so those will be shuffled in, however. Overall, I certainly recommend it to any Wingspan fans looking to spice things up a bit without too much added complexity.
