Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.

Pattern Building is a system where players place game components in specific patterns in order to gain specific or variable game results. For example: placing chips on 2, 4, 6, 8 on a board gets the player an action card they can use later in the game.

2022-05: I really didn't care for this one which is a tragedy. The production is goregeous and the puzzles are awesome. The problem is that the game invites way too much AP. I would NEVER play this with more than 2 people. Beyond that though the different methods of scoring are not all equal. Letting another player run away with one of the scoring types can outright take you out of the game. Too bad because as I said this game's table presence was phenomenal. Also it is about two rounds too long.

[puzzle 5 replay 8 invest 7.5 solo 1] movement puzzle feels clunky and restricted, feels under-tested/developed

Really solid game with amazing little animeeples. It kind of feels like Tetris, only the shapes keep changing shape while you do it and everything is moving in different directions. Great art. My only complaint is that with four players, the board feels too small. Spaces disappear and move around so quickly that strategy goes out the window. Then at two people it is almost too easy to do what you want. It is still fun at those player counts, but it shines at three people.
